Christie Walker

I am a visual artist based in Denver, CO, USA focusing on fine art paintings using oil as my predominant medium. I am compelled by those ordinary moments in life that provoke intrigue, beauty, curiosity, and conversation. As such, my subjects range broadly to include figurative work, portraiture, seascapes, countryscapes, florals, boats, architecture and anatomy among others. Often loose, painterly and impressionistic in my style, I aim to represent the beauty and intrigue in the “everyday ordinary” through the dichotomy of structure and chaos, emphasizing light and color, while focusing on the ordinary moments. Part of my continued exploration and learning as an artist is to recreate admired pieces from other renowned artists, and you will see several represented here. This process serves to expand and evolve my techniques as an artist. All pieces reproduced in my own style denote attribution to the original artist.

For those interested in purchasing a particular piece, please reach out to me directly via the contact page. General pricing is $20/square inch for most paintings, but note that there are some exceptions and a few pieces which are not for sale, NFS. (So for example, an 8”x10” work is 80 sq in and would be $1600 (80 sq in x $20).) I do not currently accept commissions, but if you’re willing to donate an image (that you own) for consideration, you may find it painted on my page at some point in the future and I will reach out to you when published if you’re interested in purchasing. I also will not under any circumstances replicate another artist’s piece in their style as a commission, so please do not ask.
